Job Opportunity: Art Studio Assistant at Barton Peveril College
This is an exciting opportunity to join our exceptional Art Department at Barton Peveril College. We are seeking a motivated individual to support our A Level Product Design course. Our vibrant department offers a diverse range of disciplines, including Fine Art, Graphics, Textiles, Photography, Moving Image, and the Level 4 Foundation Art Diploma.

Are you the right candidate for this opportunity?
As an art, design, or engineering practitioner, you will be self-motivated and thrive in a busy studio environment. In this role, you will primarily supervise and support classes in the Product Design Workshop, which features a variety of equipment including routers, band saws, 3D printers, and laser cutters. Technical confidence, a strong practical knowledge of health and safety, and the ability to ensure students operate machinery safely are essential.

You should have experience in displaying artwork and feel confident working with both 2D and 3D materials. Competent IT skills and excellent written and verbal communication are vital for success in this position.

The successful candidate will be hard-working, enthusiastic, and flexible. Joining a team of four Art Studio Assistants, you will work closely with the Subject Leader for Product Design, demonstrating both initiative and the ability to collaborate effectively within a larger team.
