About the Role

Here at Aspris, we are proud to be a leading provider of specialist education services with over 30 schools nationwide. We are recruiting for a qualified Teacher to join us at Aspris Ridgeway School, our specialist autism school for pupils aged 7-16. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing school and play a key role in shaping provision for autistic pupils.

The role involves delivering high-quality teaching and learning in Art and Drama across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to teach Music considered an advantage. We are seeking a passionate and creative practitioner who can inspire students and contribute to a vibrant performing and creative arts offer.

This position is ideally for a January 2027 start, though we are open to applications from candidates who may be available after the February half term.

Main Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Art (Drama and Music) lessons across KS 3 and 4.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the diverse needs of pupils, including autistic pupils and those with additional special educational needs.
  • Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching accordingly.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement and learning in line with school procedures.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and other professionals to support positive outcomes for pupils.

You Will

  • Hold UK QTS.
  • Have significant classroom experience up to KS4.
  • Have strong knowledge of the curriculum and high expectations for all pupils.
  • Have an understanding of adaptive and inclusive teaching approaches.
  • Be willing to participate in ongoing professional development.
  • Have a passion for education and inspiring young people.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
  • Share our commitment to Confidence, Courage, Compassion and Community.
