Grace Academy Solihull is seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and highly organised Art Technician to join our vibrant and creative Art Department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting practical learning, maintaining high-quality creative spaces, and helping students bring their artistic ideas to life.
About The Role
As our Art Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the Art and Photography departments. You will:
- Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for lessons, demonstrations, and practical workshops.
- Maintain and organise art classrooms, specialist equipment, and storage areas.
- Support staff and students with ceramics, sculpture, glazing, firing, printing, and other practical processes.
- Manage stock levels, carry out inventory checks, and ensure resources are replenished efficiently.
- Oversee the safe use of equipment, conduct regular safety checks, and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with the presentation, framing, installation, and deinstallation of student artwork for displays and exhibitions.
- Provide technical support in Photography, including camera maintenance, darkroom processes, and troubleshooting equipment issues.
