Being a part of meaningful change

Being a part of meaningful change is a feeling like no other. The care and support you provide as an Art Therapist help some of the most vulnerable people to communicate and express themselves as they build a brighter future.

Working at Emerald Place Clinic

Working 22.5 hours a week, you will join Emerald Place Clinic based in Horley, Surrey where you will provide care for children and young people aged 12-18 years old who require residential care, working on tailored treatment programmes designed for the individual needs of each young person.

Responsibilities

As an Art Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating our young people’s reactions and behaviours during art therapy sessions, which will see you utilise your art and psychotherapeutic skills and techniques to help them improve their physical, cognitive, and emotional wellbeing.

  • Create one-to-one rapport with service users to discuss their interest and medical histories as you identify their needs, objectives and prefer forms of artistic expression to create innovative art therapy programs.
  • Use various types of visual art, including drawing, sculpting, painting, ceramics, and clay modelling.
  • Discuss their artworks to evaluate the meaning and emotions behind the artworks and implement coping skills and strategies to enable them to deal with challenging and traumatic experiences.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
