Job Description
ABOUT AI CENTRAL
AI Central (AIC) is NCS’s enterprise AI capability spine — responsible for building, productising, and deploying AI capabilities and reusable assets across regulated and mission-critical sectors. We work at the intersection of AI, business transformation, and real-world client environments, turning opportunities into solutions that create measurable impact and can scale across sectors and markets.
THE ROLE
We are looking for an analytical and forward-thinking (Senior) AI Consultant to help clients identify where AI can create meaningful business value and translate those opportunities into tangible outcomes.
This is not a traditional advisory role. We are looking for AI-native consultants who combine structured problem solving and business acumen with a builder mindset — using AI as a force multiplier across research, analysis, solution design, and prototyping.
You will work closely with senior client leaders and multidisciplinary teams to move from business problem → AI opportunity → solution → measurable impact.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
AI Strategy & Transformation
- Assess client AI readiness, data maturity, business processes, and operational challenges
- Identify and prioritise AI, automation, and transformation opportunities based on business value and feasibility
- Develop AI strategies, business cases, transformation roadmaps, and implementation plans
- Redesign processes and operating models to embed AI effectively into business operations
- Define KPIs and success measures to track business impact and adoption

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
