AI Engineer Contract Role
6-month initial contract | £650-750/day | Surrey (2-3 days per week on-site)
We're working with a global organisation looking for an AI Engineer to help automate business processes, build AI agents, and deliver practical GenAI solutions across multiple business functions.
You'll work closely with senior stakeholders across a number of teams, identifying opportunities for automation and taking solutions from concept through to production.
The role
- Designing and delivering AI and GenAI solutions that solve real business problems
- Building agentic workflows and AI agents to automate manual processes
- Working directly with senior business stakeholders to identify opportunities and define solutions
- Developing end-to-end solutions from data ingestion through to deployment
- Collaborating across engineering, data, and business teams to drive AI adoption

What they're looking for
- Strong Python engineering background with experience building production-grade solutions
- Strong Databricks experience (must-have)
- Experience delivering AI, ML, or GenAI solutions in enterprise environments
- Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Strong understanding of data architecture, integration, and automation

Nice to have
- Oracle exposure
- Experience building AI agents or agentic workflows
- Experience with LLMs, RAG architectures, or orchestration frameworks
- Experience working with large-scale operational or supply chain data environments
- Cloud platform experience (Azure preferred)
