One of our clients is looking for a Cyber AI Engineer to join their team on a part-time contract basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for a cybersecurity and artificial intelligence professional who wants to work on practical, high-impact projects combining AI, machine learning, cybersecurity and automation.
The role offers flexibility and is well suited to an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer, AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer or Security Researcher looking for a part-time contract opportunity.
The Opportunity
You will work with the client to explore, develop and improve AI-driven approaches to cybersecurity challenges.
You will have the opportunity to contribute your technical expertise to projects involving security automation, threat detection, AI-assisted analysis and the development of intelligent security solutions.
This is a flexible contract role, making it particularly attractive to experienced professionals looking for part-time work, consultancy assignments or an opportunity to work on innovative AI and cybersecurity projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI-driven cybersecurity solutions
- Apply machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques to security problems
- Analyse security data, threats and potential vulnerabilities
- Develop and improve automated threat detection and security monitoring
- Explore the use of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) within cybersecurity
- Develop prototypes, proof-of-concepts and technical solutions
- Work with security logs, datasets and threat intelligence
- Identify opportunities to automate security processes using AI
- Evaluate AI models for accuracy, reliability and security
- Collaborate with technical and cybersecurity teams
- Document technical findings, solutions and recommendations
- Stay up to date with emerging developments in AI and cybersecurity

What We Are Looking For
We are interested in professionals with experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Cybersecurity Engineering
- AI Engineering
- Machine Learning
- Security Engineering

- Generative AI
- Large Language Models (LLMs)
You should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be comfortable working independently on technical projects.
Technical Skills
Experience with some of the following would be advantageous:

- Artificial Intelligence

- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Cybersecurity frameworks and security operations
- Threat detection and analysis
- Security automation
- APIs and cloud technologies
- Data analysis
- SIEM or security monitoring platforms
- AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
- Git and modern software development practices
You do not need to have experience with every technology listed. Relevant experience across AI, cybersecurity or both will be considered.
