Introduction
Wipro is looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join our AI engineering team. As a Senior AI Engineer, you will design, build, and scale enterprise AI applications using Large Language Models, Agentic AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and cloud-native technologies.
You will work with product teams, architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to transform complex requirements into secure, scalable, and production-ready AI solutions that deliver measurable business value.

Your Responsibilities
As a Senior AI Engineer, you will:
- Design and develop enterprise AI applications using LLMs, Generative AI, Agentic AI, and RAG architectures.
- Build intelligent agent workflows using LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or comparable orchestration frameworks.
- Develop scalable Python services, reusable AI components, secure APIs, and integrations with enterprise platforms.
- Deploy and optimise cloud-native AI applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services while improving performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Lead technical discussions, contribute to architecture reviews, mentor engineers, and support solutions from proof of concept through production.
Mandatory Skills
You will have a strong understanding of:
- Python software engineering, asynchronous programming, RESTful APIs, microservices, testing, and CI/CD.
- LLM application development, prompt engineering, tool calling, memory, reasoning, and agent orchestration.
- RAG architectures, embeddings, document indexing, semantic search, ranking, and contextual grounding.
- Vector databases such as Pinecone, Qdrant, Chroma, or comparable technologies.
- Cloud-native deployment using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Desirable Skills
Ideally, you will be familiar with:
- AI observability, monitoring, evaluation, security, and responsible AI practices.
- Model-serving optimisation and production inference patterns.
- Designing reusable AI platforms, SDKs, and engineering standards.
- Leading solution-design workshops and collaborating with senior stakeholders.
- Supporting and mentoring engineers within multidisciplinary teams.
