Role Description
Artificial Intelligence Supervisor
Rare TV is looking for an AI Workflow Producer to take a strategic and creative lead in Rare TV's use of AI. The successful candidate will be a creative collaborator who is excited by the difference AI can make across production and business processes. Experience of making television or long form content is essential, alongside demonstrable proficiency in working with agentic and Gen-AI.

Rare TV is an established and successful producer of landmark factual content that has expanded into a broad range of prime-time popular and specialist factual entertainment. Working with UK, American, and European broadcasters, the company produces documentary and formatted factual series, feature-length drama documentaries, and major history, natural history, and science event programming. Rare TV collaborates with leading freelance producers, directors, showrunners, and executives to assemble teams that deliver intelligent and entertaining factual programming. Responsibilities
The Artificial Intelligence Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in London, responsible for overseeing the design, integration, and ethical use of AI tools across Rare TV’s factual and entertainment productions. This role will guide editorial and production teams on how to use AI for research, script development support, workflow automation, metadata tagging, and content analysis, ensuring all usage aligns with legal, compliance, and industry best practices. The Artificial Intelligence Supervisor will collaborate closely with producers, directors, and technical staff to pilot and implement AI solutions that improve efficiency without compromising creativity or editorial integrity. Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating and selecting AI platforms, creating guidelines and training materials, delivering staff training sessions, monitoring performance and risks, and reporting on AI impact to senior leadership.

- Ability to evaluate, implement, and manage AI tools and workflows, including experience with machine learning platforms, language models, and data-driven content tools.
- Skills in process design and optimization, with experience mapping production workflows and identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency in media or related industries.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical colleagues and collaborate with creative and production teams.
- Understanding of ethical, legal, and compliance considerations around AI use, including data privacy, IP, bias, and industry guidelines for factual and documentary content.
- Experience in television, film, digital media, or factual content production, with an appreciation of editorial standards and creative processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives or projects, manage priorities, and work proactively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Comfort training and supporting colleagues, developing clear documentation, and promoting inclusive, responsible adoption of new technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, data science, media technology, production management, or related discipline).
- Experience working with UK and international broadcasters or production companies is an advantage.
