Job Title: Artist (Middleweight)

Location: Remote

Reports to: Lead Artist

Role: 6 months FTC but with the potential to go permanent

Fusebox is dedicated to producing high-quality mobile games that engage and entertain players. Our mission is to create immersive experiences through innovative gameplay and stunning visuals. We foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

About the Role

The role of 2D Middleweight Artist is to produce high-quality art assets in-keeping with the Fusebox brand. Working alongside the Lead Artist to take concepts and ideas to final game-ready assets. Expected to constantly develop artistic knowledge and demonstrate artistic growth. Support junior team members knowledge sharing, training, and mentorship.

Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality character and background art.
  • Ensure consistency across all art assets.
  • Collaborate effectively as a member of the art team.
  • Actively incorporate constructive feedback into your work.
  • Develop conceptual art for new characters and environments.
  • Execute concepts and briefs from initial idea through to final, ready-to-release artwork.

Qualifications

Art-related degree or experience in games.

Required Skills

  • Excellent digital painting skills and anatomy knowledge.
  • Proficient in Adobe suite, character design, environment design, game assets.
  • Proven ability to create game-ready art assets that meet the development team’s specifications.
