Description
About the Role
English National Ballet is seeking an Artistic Scheduling Manager to join our team on a maternity cover contract until July 2027. You will work closely with the Artistic Director and the Artistic Manager to manage all matters relating to scheduling and casting. You will be responsible for documenting, delivering, and distributing the weekly rehearsal schedule, and ensuring that these are coordinated and securely archived.
We’re looking for someone with experience in providing a regular, detailed scheduling service for a large cohort of people, and the ability to work effectively towards deadlines in a busy and pressured environment. If that sounds like you, we’d be delighted to hear from you.
This position is for a fixed-term contract, starting October 2026 until July 2027.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
