About The Role
We have two part-time (a 0.6 FTE Arts & Culture Programme Manager and a 0.2 FTE Net+ Centre Cultural Producer) posts available from the beginning of November on a fixed term basis to cover a maternity until 29 July 2027.
Applications for secondments will be considered subject to agreement from your current line manager.
Please note we are recruiting one person to deliver two roles – we cannot accept applications from applicants only interested in one of the roles. We will be interviewing for both roles together.
Salary will be £43,482 per annum pro rata on Grade F, subject to knowledge, skills and experience.
These roles offer the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

Arts and Culture Programme Manager (0.6 FTE)
We are looking for an experienced creative programme manager to further the University of Exeter Arts and Culture Strategy in Cornwall, delivering programmes and building networks at Penryn and Truro campuses that strengthen links with the regional cultural and creative sectors. This post is a temporary, maternity cover role.
The post-holder will be responsible for delivering programmes, activities and networks that further the objectives of the Arts and Culture Strategy in Cornwall, with a focus on interdisciplinarity and creative process.
The post-holder will manage all aspects of programme delivery, and raise the profile of Arts and Culture through contributing actively to creative and cultural networks across Cornwall, demonstrating a strong understanding of place, heritage and diversity. The post-holder must work productively and in alignment with the rest of the Arts and Culture team and university colleagues.
The post holder will integrate Cornwall campus strategic priorities into the delivery of their role, by bringing Arts and Culture strategic priorities to initiatives such as the Civic University Agreement, partnering with Falmouth University, and supporting site-specific capital development projects.

Cultural Producer (0.2 FTE)
The above, part-time (0.2FTE), fixed term post is available from 28 October 2026 – 29 July 2027 in the Centre for Net Positive Health and Climate Solutions (Net+ Centre) team. The Net+ Centre launched on 1 Oct 2024 and is a five-year research centre funded by UKRI. The Centre is led by the University of Exeter alongside core partners at the UK Health Security Agency, the National Trust and Forest Research. The key aim of the Centre is to establish interdisciplinary research infrastructure, partnerships and capacity that will proactively deliver novel, impactful research on climate change and health with a focus on environmental-social-health inequalities across the lifecourse, and be responsive to emerging priorities for the UK context.
We are looking for an experienced cultural producer to manage all the creative and cultural elements and deliver real-world external impact (e.g. managing the touring exhibitions, community participatory/arts programme, communications and marketing). The Cultural Producer will lead on embedding creative practices, hosting creative fellowships, facilitating creativity across communities of practice and stakeholders, and developing capacity within the Centre of design thinking, creative methodologies and reflective practice.
The Net+ Centre is based in the European Centre for Environment and Human Health on Penryn Campus, however hybrid working is welcome.
