Looking for a role where accuracy, organisation and collaboration are valued? As our Artwork Co-Ordinator, you'll work across multiple teams to deliver high-quality packaging artwork for a leading and expanding food business.

Location: Wednesbury
Salary: Competitive
Benefits: Company pension, Company EAP program, 25 day’s holidays plus bank holidays, Monthly pay, PPE provided
Hours: 08.30am to 17.00pm with a 60-minute unpaid lunch, 37.5 hours worked per week

The role:

  • Manage packaging design projects from concept through to approval, working closely with internal teams, customers, suppliers, design agencies and printers.
  • Proofread, approve and accurately file packaging artwork, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, ingredient declarations, barcodes, colour management and artwork sign-off procedures.
  • Follow established NPD and artwork processes, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Provide regular project updates through meetings, email and Microsoft Teams, communicating progress effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Liaise with printers to understand print processes and ensure the highest quality final packaging is delivered on time.
  • Review and approve artwork samples against final repro files, checking print quality, colour accuracy and overall presentation.
  • Maintain and manage the company image library, ensuring artwork files and images are stored correctly and remain up to date.
  • Support Marketing and Management with artwork images and ensure product images are accurately maintained on Brandbank.
  • Request, manage and verify barcodes for new packaging, conducting thorough barcode checks on both artwork files and initial packaging deliveries.
  • Coordinate the dispatch of packaging samples and colour swatches as required.
  • Provide general administrative support and undertake additional duties as required by the business.

About you:

  • Experience working with artwork, packaging artwork or product labelling, with an understanding of relevant legislation and compliance requirements.
  • At least 2 years' experience within a food manufacturing or food-related business.
  • Previous packaging artwork experience, including working with design agencies, cutter guides, repro files and barcode management.
  • A highly organised administrator with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Strong planning and prioritisation skills, with a methodical and conscientious approach to work.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Access and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in liaising across departments and with external partners.
  • A proactive team player who is comfortable working within a growing business undergoing change and continuous improvement.
  • Someone who is eager to make a real impact and take ownership of a role that is critical to delivering high-quality packaging and artwork projects.
