Role Responsibilities
As a Supplier Management Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring that our supplier contracts deliver value for money, comply and perform robustly. Working closely with Supplier Managers and stakeholders across the business, you will manage supplier relationships, oversee contract changes, governance activities, monitor supplier performance and risk, and drive continuous improvement across our supplier management processes. You will help ensure that we work with suppliers in a way that supports our business objectives, our sustainability ambitions and our high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee the management of contracts and assigned money level agreements and the entire venture, with responsibility for managing performance, risk, value and contractual compliance.
- Analyze supplier performance against key performance indicators, service level agreements and contractual requirements, identifying emerging trends and risks, and managing compliance with accreditation and certification requirements throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Support and drive improvements to the procurement systems and processes used to capture supplier performance data and certify suppliers, ensuring information is accurate, complete and available to support effective decision-making.
- Support the planning and execution of supplier engagement activities, working effectively with colleagues, stakeholders and suppliers.
- Manage contract extensions and variations, including negotiation, documentation, preparation for governance approval, publication, communication and system updates, ensuring all changes are correctly recorded.
- Prepare, check and publish framework contracts as required, across assigned categories, ensuring compliance with the relevant framework and governance requirements.
- Manage issues relating to supplier performance, risks and disputes, escalating matters appropriately and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers.
- Engage in activities in accordance with internal governance, relevant procurement legislation and contractual requirements.
- Use ethical procurement principles, including transparency, sustainability and integrity, across supplier management and contract activities.
You’ll Have
The following are essential requirements for recruitment to the role:
Qualifications
Education to degree level in a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional qualification and experience in a commercial, analytical, economic, data or procurement discipline.
Experience (Essential)
Commercial negotiation experience and proven success in delivering sustainable value savings. Experience in the area of contract management and supply chains, with evidence of working effectively across multiple systems to deliver workloads that are consistent with business needs and regulatory requirements. Experience of operating within governance, procurement or contract management frameworks would be beneficial but is not essential.

Knowledge and Skills
Proven ability to drive commercial value through negotiation, underpinned by strong commercial craft, stakeholder influencing skills and at least five years of relevant experience. Strong understanding of contract management processes, Framework Agreements, on-demand framework contracts, contract variations, and third-party contract risk management across Capital, IT or other categories. Excellent communication, relationship management, judgement and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge poor performance, drive improvements and escalate issues appropriately. Ability to identify, assess and manage supply chain risks, using procurement policy requirements, governance and assurance to support effective decision-making and risk management. Proven ability to deliver supply chain improvements through engaging with connected suppliers and using recognized supplier management practices. Able to maintain clear, accurate and audit-ready records and evidence trails to support contract management activities, supplier engagement and effective governance. Values its knowledge
Our Way of Working
We work in a hybrid way, with colleagues coming together on site for three days a week to collaborate and build strong working relationships.
