ASB OFFICER

Location: East & West Birmingham

Pay: £14.50 per hour

Hours: 40 Hours per Week

Shifts: 5 out of 7 days between 06:00 and 00:00

Contract: Temporary Full-Time

Requirements: Own Transport & Basic DBS

About The Role

Looking for a role where you can make a real difference in your community?

We're recruiting Environmental Protection ASB Officers to support local communities across East and West Birmingham, helping tackle anti-social behaviour and improve public safety.

This is a frontline role where you'll engage with members of the public, support vulnerable individuals, investigate incidents, and work alongside partner agencies to resolve community concerns.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Patrolling local areas to identify and respond to anti-social behaviour
  • Engaging with individuals involved in rough sleeping, street drinking, and nuisance behaviour
  • Supporting vulnerable people by signposting them to relevant services
  • Investigating incidents and gathering evidence
  • Completing reports and case documentation accurately
  • Working alongside local authorities, police, and support agencies
  • Attending meetings and court proceedings when required
  • Promoting community safety and environmental standards

What We're Looking For

  • Confident communicator with excellent people skills
  • Calm and professional approach in challenging situations
  • Ability to manage conflict and build positive relationships
  • Strong report-writing and organisational skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Flexible approach to working varied shifts
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own transport (essential)
  • Basic DBS (essential)
  • Full 5-year checkable work history required
  • Previous security, enforcement, customer service, housing, or community safety experience would be advantageous
