Job Description
Are you an experienced Facilities Management professional with a strong compliance background? We are looking for a Workplace Compliance Manager to lead the management of workplace compliance, facilities services and statutory obligations across our office estate.
Reporting to the Director of SHEQ, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, standards and management system requirements, including fire safety, water hygiene, asbestos, gas, electrical and physical security arrangements. You'll oversee FM and M&E contractors, manage planned maintenance programmes, drive service performance through KPIs and SLAs, and support the delivery of sustainability, business continuity and workplace improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have significant Facilities Management experience, strong contractor management skills and a proven track record of delivering compliance and operational excellence within a multi-site environment. A facilities management qualification (IWFM or equivalent) and a health and safety qualification such as IOSH are essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Promote and implement a strong SHEQ culture aligned with a “Zero Harm” approach
- Ensure full compliance with SHEQ policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Carry out regular site audits, inspections, and safety tours
- Own and lead the development of the company Asbestos procedures.
- Support ISO audits and maintain SHEQ systems and documentation
- Monitor and analyse data to identify trends and improvements
- Support in incident investigation as subject matter expert.
- Encourage reporting of hazards, near misses, and incidents
- Support, attend and guide site teams
- Attend SHEQ meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- BOHS Qualified (minimum)
- Experience within social housing, maintenance, or minor works projects
- Strong knowledge of Asbestos related legislation and best practices
- Experience with audits, reporting, and compliance systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, organised, and able to work independently
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Office essential; SHEQ systems desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
