Role Description
The Asbestos Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based. This position oversees asbestos-related works on construction sites, ensuring all activities comply with current legislation, industry best practices, and company procedures.
Day-to-day tasks include:
- Supervising asbestos removal teams
- Planning and coordinating site activities
- Conducting risk assessments
- Ensuring correct use of personal protective equipment and control measures
The Asbestos Supervisor maintains accurate records, prepares method statements, and completes compliance documentation. The role also involves liaising with clients, site managers, and external auditors, conducting toolbox talks, and promoting a strong safety culture among team members.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience supervising asbestos removal or remediation projects within construction or related industries.
- Relevant asbestos supervisor training or certification (e.g., licensed asbestos supervisor qualification).
- Solid understanding of health and safety practices, including safe working procedures, PPE use, and incident reporting.
- Effective leadership and team coordination skills, with the ability to manage site personnel and communicate clearly with clients and colleagues.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally as required for site duties.
- Previous experience in the construction sector and any additional health and safety qualifications (e.g., CSCS card, SMSTS/SSSTS) are beneficial.
