Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor

Location: Bristol, Somerset

Salary/Benefits: £27k - £43k + Training & Benefits

We are recruiting in the South West of England for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor. You will be joining a growing and privately-owned Asbestos Consultancy, who have a UK wide presence and diverse client portfolio, including domestic and local authority contracts. They are seeking someone who is fully signed off for all surveys, who will be able to hit the ground running. Our client can also consider candidates who have experience working as a dual Surveyor / Analyst. The successful candidate can expect attractive salaries and benefits, including: company vehicle, mobile and fuel expenses.

Ideally, you will be based around: Bristol, Bath, Keynsham, Yate, Chippenham, Calne, Melksham, Frome, Radstock, Weston-super-Mare, Clevedon, Portishead, Wells, Warminster, Trowbrige, Bridgwater, Taunton, Yeovil, Thornbury, Dursley, Newport, Chepstow, Cardiff, Barry, Caerphilly, Pontypridd, Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil, Abergavenny, Lydley, Ross-on-Wye, Gloucester.

  • Experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor or Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
  • Will hold the BOHS P402 (or RSPH equivalent) for surveying
  • Must also hold the BOHS (or RSPH equivalent) for dual skilled candidates
  • Fully conversant in HSG 264 and HSG 248 guidelines
  • Able to articulate technical matters
  • Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills

The Role:

  • Attending client sites to perform the full range of asbestos surveys
  • Re-inspection surveys
  • Safely obtaining asbestos samples and delivering to the lab for analysis
  • Wearing correct PPE whilst on site
  • For dual skilled candidates, you will also complete: 4 stage clearances, in addition to full air monitoring duties
  • Working across a diverse range of client sites
  • Producing detailed technical reports and accompanying schematic drawings
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, providing support and advice
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with clients
