Job Introduction
📍 London | 🚗 Field-Based | 💼 Full-Time
If you know your P402 from your P45, know your way around HSG264, and take pride in getting the details right, we’d like to hear from you.
Asbestos surveying isn’t about racing around sites, ticking boxes and hoping for the best. It’s about good judgement, sharp attention to detail and producing information that people can actually rely on.
At Lucion, our surveyors play a vital role in helping clients across London and the wider UK understand asbestos risk and manage it properly — protecting people, buildings and projects along the way.
We’re a purpose-driven, beyond-net-zero business working across 12 sectors worldwide. But at site level, it’s simple: do good work, do it properly, and look after the people around you.
We’re now looking for an Asbestos Surveyor to join our growing Hazardous Materials team, covering London and the surrounding areas.
🏙️ What You’ll Be Doing (And Why It Matters)
This is a genuinely hands-on surveying role. You’ll be out on sites across London, from commercial buildings and construction projects to public-sector estates and everything in between.
Your attention to detail will directly contribute to safer buildings and compliant project delivery.
You’ll
- Carry out all disciplines of asbestos surveying and inspection, including Management, Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys, as well as asbestos in the ground.
- Travel across London and the surrounding region, working on a variety of sites and projects.
- Collect accurate factual and numerical site data using a phablet device, producing high-quality reports through our award-winning NexGen system.
- Work in accordance with relevant asbestos legislation and guidance, including HSG264, HSE requirements and construction regulations.
- Keep your personal QHSE documentation up to date and follow our internal assurance processes.
- Deal professionally with clients on site, answering questions and providing clear advice and interpretation where required.
- Represent Lucion positively wherever you go — because how we work matters just as much as what we deliver.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
