Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor

Location: Watford

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established UKAS-accredited asbestos consultancy in their search for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join their team in Watford.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor looking to join a respected consultancy with an established client base across Hertfordshire, London, and the surrounding areas. The successful candidate will work across a varied portfolio of properties, benefiting from a consistent workload, strong operational support, and excellent opportunities for long-term career development.

What You'll Be Joining

  • You'll be joining an established asbestos consultancy delivering professional surveying and compliance services across a broad range of sectors. The business places a strong emphasis on technical quality, client service, and maintaining high standards across its asbestos operations.

For an experienced Asbestos Surveyor, this provides an excellent opportunity to join a professional team while retaining the independence and autonomy of a field-based position.

The Role

  • Carrying out Management and Refurbishment and Demolition (R and D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264
  • Conducting bulk asbestos sampling across a variety of property types
  • Producing accurate, detailed, and compliant asbestos survey reports
  • Working across commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, residential, and public sector properties
  • Managing your own diary and workload effectively
  • Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and site representatives
  • Maintaining accurate electronic survey records and documentation
  • Ensuring all work complies with current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and company procedures

About You

  • BOHS P402 qualification (essential)
  • Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor
  • Strong understanding of HSG264 and current asbestos legislation
  • Experience within a UKAS-accredited consultancy is desirable
  • Confident working independently in a field-based position
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Professional, organised, and reliable approach to work
