Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor Analyst
Location: Basildon
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established UKAS-accredited asbestos consultancy in their search for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor Analyst to support a busy and expanding workload across Basildon and the wider Essex region.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dual-qualified professional seeking a varied role, strong earning potential, and long-term stability. The position offers a genuine mix of surveying and analytical duties across commercial, domestic, and public sector sites.

Salary and Benefits
- GBP36,000 - GBP42,000 salary (DOE)

The Role
- Carrying out Management and Refurbishment and Demolition (R and D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264
- Undertaking air monitoring, including four-stage clearances and reoccupation certification
- Carrying out reassurance, leak, background, and personal air testing where required
- Conducting bulk sampling and ensuring correct procedures are followed
- Producing accurate and compliant survey and analytical reports in accordance with HSG264 and HSG248
- Working across commercial, domestic, and public sector properties
- Managing your workload efficiently across multiple sites
- Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety, quality, and compliance

About You
- BOHS P402, P403, and P404 qualifications (essential)
- Previous experience working in an Asbestos Surveyor Analyst or dual role
- Strong understanding of HSG264, HSG248, and current asbestos legislation
- Experience working within a UKAS-accredited consultancy is desirable
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to manage your own workload independently
- Professional, organised, and reliable approach to work
