Are you a qualified asbestos surveyor looking for a new challenge? We have an opportunity in our team just for you.
What you’ll be doing
As an asbestos surveyor, you’ll be working across Dorset, Somerset, Hampshire and Wiltshire carrying out asbestos re-inspections and refurbishment & demolition surveys on our general needs stock. You’ll ensure surveys are accurately recorded using a handheld device, produce reports and share data with colleagues across the business.
You’ll identify repairs required and fully detail any remedial works, liaising with internal planned and reactive delivery teams as well as our asbestos removal company.
About you
You’ll already be experienced in carrying out asbestos surveys in domestic dwellings and you’ll have a P402 qualification. Housing association experience is desired but not essential.
You’ll be working collaboratively across the business and with external contractors, so you’ll be a confident communicator.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
