About the role
Our client is seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to provide high-quality asbestos surveying and analytical services. The role focuses on delivering accurate, timely survey and analysis work in line with contractual requirements, relevant legislation, industry guidance and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Undertake Management, Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys across a variety of client sites.
- Provide asbestos analytical services, including air monitoring, fibre counting and bulk sample analysis.
- Provide appropriate advice to clients in connection with survey and analytical work.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of asbestos legislation, guidance, industry best practice, UKAS accreditation requirements and quality management arrangements.
- Maintain awareness of relevant health and safety legislation.
- Work flexibly from client sites or office locations as required.
- Maintain technical expertise and awareness of current issues within the asbestos sector.
- Participate in quality assurance arrangements and audit programmes.
- Support timely delivery of work and meet agreed productivity and billing targets.
- Engage proactively with training and professional development.
- Carry out other reasonable duties associated with the role.

Equipment: A fully equipped mobile laboratory/van will be provided for use while undertaking surveys or air monitoring on site.
Essential qualifications and experience
- P402, P403 and P404 qualifications.
- Minimum 3 years' experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst within a UKAS-accredited company.
- Experience working in a customer-facing capacity.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and concisely.
- Good interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to team working.
- Self-motivated, reliable, confident and quality-focused.
- Competent using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Willingness to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check prior to commencement.
- Ability to meet respiratory protective equipment (RPE) face-fit requirements, including being clean shaven where required for a tight-fitting facepiece.
- Current driving licence (maximum 3 points).
