ASD Assistant - Reading
Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience supporting young people with ASD and additional needs?
A specialist secondary school in Reading is seeking a caring and enthusiastic ASD Assistant. This role is ideal for aspiring Psychologists, Therapists, or Teachers looking to develop valuable experience in SEN.
The Role as an ASD Assistant
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with ASD.
- Support communication, emotional regulation, confidence, and independence.
- Build positive relationships and encourage engagement in learning.
- Work alongside teachers and SEN staff to create a supportive environment.
- Monitor students' wellbeing, behaviour, and progress.

We're Looking For an ASD Assistant who
- Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic individuals.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A genuine interest in ASD, SEN, psychology, or education.
- A calm, positive, and adaptable approach.
Job Details
- Location: Reading
- Setting: Secondary SEN School
- Start: ASAP
- Pay: £93-£110 per day
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
- Contract: Full-time
