"Every child is capable of learning, just not on the same day, or in the same way."

I am currently acting on behalf of a SEN school that is seeking a talented and innovative teacher to join their team in September. You will be delivering high quality teaching and learning to students. The school is looking for someone to be committed to their students and being fully involved in the school community. This is an ideal opportunity for a teacher wishing to progress in their professional development with a passion for raising attainment and expectations.

Planning and Marking

  • Small groups of Key Stage 3 and 4 students
  • ASD knowledge is required

Pay to Scale

QTS or at 1 year teaching in UK school

A Success Candidate

As the school is a special needs setting, a passion for teaching and supporting SEN students is essential. Although SEN teaching experience would be ideal, the more important thing is a desire and enthusiasm for working with SEN children and giving all students equal opportunities. The school is looking for qualified teachers (QTS) or ECTs.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The School

You will be teaching in a SEN hub that sits on site of a large secondary school in Bridgwater. The hub is very much a separate space from the mainstream school, however they can use the school's facilities if needed. The hub supports ASD students, who all have ECHPs. The hub is seen as a nurturing space where students can really focus on their personal development. Currently there are 2 teachers within the hub with a further group of TAs supporting on a 1:1 and more general basis. You will be teaching students in small groups, however some more targeted 1:1 work may be required. You will be asked to plan and mark sessions, however there needs to be an element of flexibility.
