Location: Kenilworth, Coventry Weekly Pay: £500 - £525 Hours: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only Start Date: 01/09/2026 Contract: Long-term, with the potential to become permanent

Long Term Futures is seeking a patient, compassionate and experienced ASD Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner mainstream primary schools in the Kenilworth area.

This is a 1:1 support role working with pupils across Key Stage 2 who have a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASD), Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and ADHD. You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support team to provide consistent, individualised support, helping pupils access learning, manage their emotions and develop greater independence.

The role is offered on a long-term basis, with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

What The School Is Looking For

  • Experience: Previous experience supporting children with SEN, particularly ASD, PDA and ADHD.
  • School Experience: Experience working within a UK primary school and a good understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • 1:1 Support: Confidence providing individual support and adapting your approach to meet each pupil's needs.
  • Interventions: Experience delivering targeted interventions on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
  • Behaviour Support: Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to provide a calm, structured and nurturing learning environment.
  • Progress Monitoring: Confidence monitoring pupil progress, providing feedback and working towards individual learning and EHCP targets.
