Lead ASIC Development Engineer
Advanced Mixed-Signal ASICs for Space Applications
Full-Time | Senior Technical Leadership Role
About The Opportunity
An innovative organisation operating at the forefront of space-grade semiconductor technology is seeking a Lead ASIC Development Engineer to drive the delivery of next-generation mixed-signal ASICs for deployment in space environments.
This role is ideal for a highly experienced ASIC professional who combines deep technical expertise with strong program leadership capability. You will lead complex development efforts, guide engineering teams, and ensure successful productization — without holding full organisational “Head of” responsibility.
If you have delivered complex SoCs, built and integrated IP, and driven silicon from architecture through tape-out and qualification in high-reliability environments, this is an opportunity to lead from the front technically and operationally.
The Role
You will lead the execution of mixed-signal ASIC development programs, ensuring technical excellence, disciplined delivery, and alignment with product architecture and system requirements.
Working closely with product architects and cross-functional stakeholders, you will translate high-level architectural intent into structured engineering execution, driving best practices across the ASIC lifecycle.
This is a hands-on leadership role — combining technical authority, team mentorship, and program ownership.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
