Job Description

12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Great with people, calm under pressure and love getting to the bottom of a question? As an AskHR Advisor, you’ll be the first point of contact for colleagues who need support, helping them navigate HR questions and find clear, accurate answers. You don’t need to have built your career in HR already. If you’ve got brilliant customer service skills and you’re looking for an opportunity to develop within HR, this could be your next step. At EDF, Success is Personal, and we’ll give you the opportunity to grow your knowledge while making a real difference to our people.

The Opportunity

As an AskHR Advisor, you’ll join our Employee Services team, providing first-line support to employees and managers across the business. You’ll manage conversations through Live Chat, email and our case management system, helping people understand HR policies and making sure they get the right support. It’s an important role in the experience we give our people as we continue our journey towards An Electric Britain.

You’ll join us on a salary of circa £28,000 per annum on a 12-month fixed term contract, working full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. The team works remotely from home, so there’s no requirement to regularly attend an office. We’re looking for someone based close to #Hove or #Exeter, giving you the flexibility to work from one of these offices if you’d like to.

Customer service is a big part of this role. You’ll need to be comfortable managing different queries, working with clear policies and processes, and taking ownership to get things resolved. You’ll work closely with colleagues across HR and Employee Services, building your HR knowledge as you go. So, if you’re proactive, organised and patient, with great people skills and an eye for detail, there’s plenty of opportunity to develop.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
