Description
Are you ready to challenge the status quo and make a real impact?
Do you take ownership, thrive on improving how things are done, and enjoy getting hands-on—spotting potential issues early, finding practical solutions, and confidently sharing your technical expertise?
If that sounds like you, this could be the perfect opportunity to join us.
We’re excited to be recruiting for a new senior technical role within our technical team supporting the asphalt surfacing business across the South, offering you the chance to shape how we support our operations and drive performance across the network. At Breedon, we don’t just supply construction materials—we help build the places where people live, work and travel every day, playing a key role in the infrastructure that keeps communities moving. Whilst this role is primarily focused on the South of the UK, there will be occasional opportunities to travel to other regions, supporting our wider national operations and collaborating with colleagues across the business.
As one of the UK’s leading construction materials groups, we combine local expertise with national scale to deliver aggregates, asphalt, concrete and more to major projects across the country. What truly sets us apart, however, is our people. Our purpose is simple: to make a material difference—to our colleagues, our customers and our communities. That means creating an environment where you feel trusted, supported and empowered to make a real impact.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
