Aspiring Assistant Psychologist - Psychology Graduate

EdEx are working with a fantastic, community-focused Primary School located in the heart of Tower Hamlets. The school is a happy, inclusive, and supportive place to learn, with a strong focus on helping every child achieve success both academically and personally.
The school is ideally looking for a Psychology Graduate to join them from September 2026. This is the perfect opportunity for a graduate who is keen to gain long-term experience supporting children with a range of SEN, additional needs, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.

About the Role - Aspiring Assistant Psychologist - Psychology Graduate
- Supporting pupils with a range of SEN and additional needs
- Working across KS1 and KS2
- Providing 1:1 and small group support
- Supporting children with Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs, SEMH, and learning difficulties
- Tailoring your approach based on each child's individual needs
- Providing academic, emotional, and social support throughout the school day
- Supporting the class teacher with lessons, routines, and behaviour management
- Helping pupils feel safe, confident, comfortable, and ready to learn
£110 - £115 per day
Monday to Friday, full-time
September 2026 start
Full academic year role
Located in the Borough of Tower Hamlets
About you as an Aspiring Assistant Psychologist - Psychology Graduate

- Psychology degree from a reputable University
- Graduate with a 1st Class or 2:1 degree preferred
- Childcare, SEN, tutoring, mentoring, or youth work experience would be desirable
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Ideal for aspiring Assistant Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Therapists, or SEN professionals
- Patient, resilient, and calm in challenging situations
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
- Confident, proactive, and enthusiastic approach
- A genuine passion for education and child development
