Aspiring English Teacher Program - £36,500 Permanent Contract

A fantastic Secondary School in the Borough of Westminster is on the hunt for an Aspiring English Teacher for a September 2026 start. This is a full-time, permanent post.

You will be working across the English Department, teaching KS3-4 lessons, while having a focus on attainment and the quality of learning. This is the perfect opportunity if you're an aspiring English Teacher looking to gain teaching experience before enrolling onto teacher training.

The Head Teacher would ideally like an English Graduate with any of the following English-related degrees:

  • English Studies (English)
  • English Languages (English)
  • English Literature (English)
  • English Langue & Literature (English)
  • Arts & Humanities (English)
  • Creative Writing (English)
  • Journalism (English)
  • Languages Studies (English)
  • Media Studies (English)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Aspiring English Teacher Program

  • Position: Secondary Teaching Assistant (Subject dependent)
  • Teaching: Across KS3-4 with a focus on raising attainment
  • Program: Enrolling onto the Aspiring English Teacher Program (Schools Direct)
  • Start Date: September 2026 - Full Time & Permanent
  • Salary: £36,500 permanent contract (Salary varies on experience)
  • Location: Located in the Borough of Westminster

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Must have a desirable degree from the above subjects from a reputable University
  • Good A Levels & GCSEs across the board
  • Must be confident within your ability and knowledge of both the GCSE & A Level curriculum
  • You must be able to engage and motivate the students
  • Commitment and ambition to succeed is key throughout!
