We work with vibrant and dynamic secondary schools across Surrey who are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join them as Aspiring Teacher - Cover Supervisors.


Position: Aspiring Teacher - Cover Supervisor

Location: Farnham

Hours: 08:30-15:15

Salary: £100-£130 per day

Role Overview:

As an Aspiring Teacher - Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting students' learning by supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff. You will deliver pre-planned lessons, manage classroom behaviour, ensure students remain engaged with their learning, and provide a positive and productive classroom environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, sports coaches, youth workers, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain first-hand experience in a secondary school before progressing into teacher training.


Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for education and a desire to pursue a career in teaching.
  • Confidence in leading a classroom and managing student behaviour.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and adaptability.
  • A degree or relevant experience working with young people is desirable.
