Salary: £27,112 per annum
Up to 2% annual bonus potential
Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week 7:00am - 3:00pm

New Opportunity - Assembler

Due to continued growth Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking to recruit an Assembler to join a production team based in York, North Yorkshire. These positions have been created as a result of business expansion and offer an excellent opportunity to join a skilled, supportive and quality-focused environment.

As an Assembler, you will play a key role in the manufacture and assembly of precision electronic components and products, ensuring work is completed to the highest quality standards and within agreed timescales.

What You'll Be Doing

Working within a clean and organised production environment, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assembling precision electronic and mechanical components using detailed specifications, drawings and work instructions.
  • Inspecting and testing products throughout the assembly process to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Using a range of tools and equipment including soldering irons, solder dispensers, tweezers, cutters, scalpels, microscopes, screwdrivers, hot plates, ovens and heat guns.
  • Identifying, troubleshooting and helping resolve assembly and quality issues.
  • Completing production records and updating systems accurately.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workspace.
  • Supporting continuous improvement activities and contributing positively to team objectives.
  • Assisting with training and knowledge sharing where appropriate.

What We're Looking For

We welcome applications from candidates with previous assembly, production or engineering experience, as well as individuals with transferable skills and a keen interest in practical, hands-on work.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Experience working within established procedures and work instructions.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to read and follow technical information and drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Soldering experience.
  • Experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in clean room or ESD-controlled environments.
  • Building circuit boards, PC assembly, model making, or similar practical hobbies/interests.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Engineering or Manufacturing.
