About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Group Leader to join our Assembly team at JCB World Headquarters. This is a key leadership role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, responsible for ensuring production activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
As a Group Leader, you’ll lead and develop a team to achieve operational targets while driving a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork. You’ll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of customer requirements and helping to maintain JCB's world-class manufacturing standards.
Please note: You must be flexible and able to work a range of shifts, including days and nights, to meet operational requirements.
What does this role involve day to day?
- Co-ordinating daily production activities to meet customer requirements and production plans.
- Monitoring and improving performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People and Environment (SQDCPE) metrics.
- Leading, motivating and developing team members to promote high levels of engagement, accountability and morale.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, optimise processes and reduce waste.
- Ensuring full compliance with company policies, procedures and Health & Safety legislation.
- Making effective decisions to resolve operational challenges and maintain production performance.
- Collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders across the business to achieve shared objectives.
- Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and operational excellence in a busy production environment.

- You have experience working in a high-volume production or manufacturing environment.
- You have previous team leadership or supervisory experience.
- You possess strong organisational skills and the ability to make effective decisions under pressure.

- You are passionate about driving continuous improvement and delivering operational excellence.
