About The Role
Assembly Operative roles are available in Ledbury with Pertemps Gloucester (Chiltern) Industrial, paying £12.81 per hour on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis. Working rotating shifts of 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00, the successful candidate will join a manufacturing team producing goods for a Herefordshire client. Duties cover fabrication, assembly, sewing, welding, cutting, slitting, and packing, so hands-on ability and attention to detail matter. Full training is given, suiting those with production experience or anyone seeking to build manufacturing skills. Reliable timekeeping and a practical approach are essential for this varied shop-floor position.

Pertemps are currently recruiting for Assembley Operatives on behalf of a successful manufacturing client based in Herefordshire. We are looking for motivated, hands-on individuals to join a busy production team, with both temporary and permanent opportunities available.

This is a varied role offering the chance to develop a range of manufacturing skills including fabrication, assembly, sewing, welding, and packing. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates with production experience or those looking to build a career in manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabric welding, cutting/slitting, industrial sewing, fabrication, and assembly work.
- Packing finished products ready for dispatch.
- Operating machinery safely and efficiently.
- Working to production specifications, worksheets, and engineering drawings.
- Completing quality checks to ensure products meet required standards.
- Using computer systems for shop floor data collection and works order completion.
- Meeting production targets and customer delivery deadlines.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation.
- Following all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
The Successful Candidate
- Previous manufacturing or production experience is desirable but not essential.
- Experience in fabrication, assembly, sewing, welding, or packing would be advantageous.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Computer literate and confident using workplace systems.
- Flexible approach to work and willing to learn new skills.
- Strong awareness of Health & Safety requirements.
- Forklift Truck experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
