About The Role
As an Assembly Operative in Netherton, you will join a well-established business, performing hands-on assembly and finishing duties to a high standard. This full-time, temporary-to-permanent position offers a salary of £13.00 to £13.50 per hour, working Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm. We are currently recruiting for an Assembly Operative to join a well-established business based in Dudley.
The Role
Working as part of the production team, you will be responsible for assembling and finishing products to a high standard. The role would suit someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and has experience within assembly, woodworking or general production.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Assembling products and components accurately
- Using a range of hand tools and power tools
- Measuring, cutting and fitting components
- Following drawings, instructions and specifications
- Checking completed work for quality and accuracy
- Carrying out preparation, finishing and general workshop duties
- Maintaining a clean and organised working area
- Working to production deadlines and quality standards
- Supporting the wider production team when required

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within an assembly, manufacturing, production or workshop environment.
You Should Be
- Practical and hands-on
- Confident using hand tools and power tools
- Comfortable working with wood or timber
- Able to follow instructions and work accurately
- Quality-conscious with good attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working as part of a team
- Physically capable of carrying out a hands-on production role
Previous woodworking, furniture assembly or manufacturing experience would be advantageous, although candidates with strong practical skills from other backgrounds will also be considered.
