Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Assembly Operator role based in Kingsbridge. The Assembly Operator will:
- Assemble metal components and products according to technical drawings, work instructions, and production schedules.
- Operate workshop machinery and tools.
- Position and secure parts.
- Perform visual checks.
- Complete basic measurements to maintain quality standards.
- Work on production lines.
- Collaborate with supervisors and colleagues to meet output targets.
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
- Help keep the work area organized.
- Report defects or equipment issues.
- Participate in training to learn new processes or equipment.

- Ability to operate machinery and tools safely and effectively, with experience in machine operation and working on production lines.
- Strong focus on quality control, including basic measurement skills and visual inspection of components and finished products.
- Effective communication skills for working with team members, understanding instructions, and reporting issues clearly.
- Willingness to participate in training, learn new equipment or processes, and follow standard operating procedures.
- Previous experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or a similar assembly environment is beneficial.
- Understanding of workshop health and safety practices and the ability to follow PPE and safety requirements.
- Good manual dexterity, ability to handle tools and materials, and capability to stand and move around the workshop for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work to production targets while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
