Trainee Setter

What you would do as our Trainee Setter

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you would:

  • Responsibility for setting and operating machining
  • Ensure safety checks are carried out within specified time limits
  • Ensure first off inspection are completed
  • Support the set-up and operation of Automated assembly equipment
  • Carry out inspection requirements laid down in the Company Quality Manual
  • Participate in improving and standardising best practice workplace organisation and manufacturing methods
  • Record all information required to maintain and demonstrate the performance of the cell via the KPI board
  • Other duties that are appropriate to experience and qualification as directed by management
  • Ensure work area is kept clean and tidy
  • Comply with the Company Health & Safety policy at all times
  • To maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Carry out TPM and routine maintenance on machines where applicable
  • Supporting all other manufacturing processes – for example assembly & packing
