Assembly Team Leader | Bury St Edmunds
Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Assembly Team Leader to lead their assembly operations and drive operational excellence. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive leader with a passion for Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and developing high-performing teams.
We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys leading people to achieve outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily production activities to ensure customer orders are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.
- Conduct daily team briefings covering production targets, Health & Safety, and 5S activities.
- Ensure all products are manufactured in accordance with approved procedures and quality standards.
- Drive improvements in Right First Time (RFT) performance and reduce defects, rework, and scrap.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team to achieve high levels of engagement and performance.
- Drive labour productivity, efficiency, and cost improvements.

Key Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience within a Lean Manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience leading production or assembly teams.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools - 5S, TPM, Kaizen, 8 Wastes, and 5 Why problem solving.
- Experience using IFS or another MRP/ERP manufacturing system.
