Job Introduction
Join our Assembly Team and help create the high-quality meals enjoyed by thousands of customers every week. Working in a modern food manufacturing environment, you'll play an important role in carefully assembling ingredients to specification, ensuring every dish meets the exceptional standards our customers expect.
You'll be part of a supportive team that takes pride in quality, attention to detail, and working together to achieve great results. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in a job well done, and wants to develop new skills in a growing business. Full training is provided, so previous food production experience isn't essential.
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week:
- Monday to Friday | 4:00pm - 12:00am
Role Responsibility
As an Assembly Team Member, You Will
- Help create our award-winning meals by assembling dishes to specification and quality standards
- Ensure every dish is prepared accurately and consistently before moving to the next stage of production
- Carry out quality checks and identify any products that do not meet Bigham's standards
- Follow assembly instructions and production processes to maintain product consistency
- Maintain excellent hygiene, food safety, and housekeeping standards at all times
- Complete production paperwork and records accurately
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and support smooth handovers between shifts
- Report any quality, safety, or equipment concerns to the appropriate team members
- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment to achieve daily targets and keep our customers supplied with great food

You'll Also Need
- Confidence using technology, machinery, and production equipment
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new processes, equipment, and ways of working
- The ability to regularly lift and move boxes weighing up to 20kg
- A positive, dependable approach, and a strong work ethic
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and housekeeping
- A desire to develop your skills and build a successful career as part of the Bigham's team
Previous experience in a food production, manufacturing, assembly, or operative role would be beneficial, but isn't essential. Full training will be provided.

From Your First Day, You'll Enjoy
- A competitive hourly rate of £15.09, rising to £15.72 after 3 months (equivalent to over £31,000-£32,000 per year, excluding overtime)
