Role Overview

Alloyed is currently designing a low cost microturbine system for jet propulsion applications.

Alloyed is seeking experienced assembly technicians to produce and build these microturbines. The role will involve all aspects of manufacturing production and quality control. Future phases of the development project may involve scale-up to a larger facility; there is scope to expand the role to include site planning and the set-up of systems and processes for large production runs.

You will be based at Alloyed’s HQ in Yarnton.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble engine components and systems to required specifications
  • Follow SOPs to ensure consistent, high-quality output
  • Work in line with the QMS, maintaining compliance at all times
  • Inspect and verify assembled parts to meet quality and engineering standards
  • Support the setup and optimisation of assembly processes and workstations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities, identifying ways to improve efficiency, quality, or throughput.
  • Assist in scaling production processes to support increased manufacturing volumes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assembly steps, checks, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve issues and improve processes.

Essential skills

  • Previous manufacturing assembly experience
  • Experience following SOPs and complying with a QMS

Desired skills

  • Production engineering experience for manufacturing
  • Experience creating and owning SOPs, and identifying implementing process improvement measures
  • Experience setting up assembly systems
  • Experience scaling up existing manufacturing facilities to allow for larger production runs
