About The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a qualified and suitably experienced Social Worker to join our Kinship Assessment team, on a full-time permanent basis. In doing so, we work with and assess relatives and friends both as foster carers and/or special guardians to enable children to live within their wider family and friends network – through the completion of comprehensive and analytical Friends and Family assessments (both initial viability assessments and the full Form C Kinship/SGO assessments).
Our team are committed to creating a safe, compassionate and reflective environment demonstrated through relationship-based practice built on trust, respect, support, and empathy. We achieve this through a spirit of curiosity, by nurturing connections through relationships, making a conscious effort to know and understand people, and by providing hope for growth and recovery.
We support and empower our staff to be the best that they can be. We will give you the support and resources that you need to work in collaboration with children and their families. In return we can offer flexible working, supportive and approachable managers, continued professional development, as a great team who are welcoming and encouraging.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
