Assessment Administrator

We are looking for an organised and proactive Assessment Administrator. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support assessment administration and delivery, and the student experience across Global and MBA programmes within a dynamic and inclusive environment.

You will be responsible for:

  • Take responsibility for the administration of assessment activities across programmes, including assessment set up, assessment scheduling, submission and marking processes, academic support, assessment reviews and support for international centres and partners.
  • Provide academic and operational support for assessment activity, including support to academic staff during assessment periods and related activities, which may include out of office hours and weekend support, and collate and circulate assessment and examination documentation.
  • Provide information, advice and guidance on assessment and examination matters, acting as first line support for team inbox queries and stakeholders, including students, academic staff and international centres.
  • Maintain accurate records and data quality within student records and other systems, supporting reporting, financial processes, compliance, policy implementation and management information needs.
  • Work flexibly across the Operations team, supporting committees, surveys, feedback review, projects, continuous improvement, excellent customer service and inclusive practice across all activity.

About You

We welcome applications from people who are committed to excellent service provision, continuous improvement and placing the student experience at the heart of what they do. You should be able to work effectively with diverse groups and demonstrate:

Essential Criteria:

  • Relevant knowledge and experience, such as working in a demanding administrative environment with defined procedures and policies.
  • Flexible and responsive to customer needs, with excellent communication skills and the ability to provide information, advice and guidance while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Able to coordinate assessment and examination activities, organise workloads and contribute effectively within a large team environment.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise varied work, meet deadlines and resolve issues effectively.
  • A high level of accuracy, good digital literacy and a commitment to the University’s core values and to providing the best possible support to students, staff and customers.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience of working in Higher Education, particularly within assessment, examinations, student administration or programme delivery support.
  • Experience using student records or assessment systems, supporting data quality, or preparing assessment-related reports and management information.
  • Experience supporting assessment boards, examinations, assessment processes, surveys, projects or process improvement within a complex organisation.
