Are you passionate about supporting people to make positive, lasting changes in their lives?

We're looking for an Assessment and Engagement Coordinator to join our dedicated substance misuse team at HMP Durham, helping individuals begin and progress through their recovery journey while in custody. Working within a secure prison environment, you'll play a vital role in engaging people at the earliest opportunity, carrying out comprehensive assessments, developing tailored recovery plans and supporting individuals as they prepare for life beyond prison.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Work collaboratively with prison staff, healthcare professionals and external partners to ensure seamless support.
  • Promote harm reduction, health and wellbeing, and recovery-focused interventions.
  • Identify and manage risk, safeguarding concerns and complex needs.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to achieving positive outcomes for the people we support.

About You

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to work independently whilst also being part of a supportive team.
