Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Impact

As a key team within the Membership group, Assessment delivery provides assurances that those acquiring the IFoA Associate or Fellowship qualification have completed the required assessment whilst maintaining the integrity of the exams. The Assessment Delivery Executive plays a role in this area, administering a wide-ranging portfolio including accurate data entry in complex examination systems, handling student queries, collation of exam marking and reports, and supporting mitigating circumstances. Through their professional administration of the services provided, they will monitor risks, dispatch communications, obtain reports from the database and network with external personnel. Any errors relating to the assessment area are very high profile and tend to attract attention from high-level committees and volunteers, and potentially external stakeholders such as the FRC (Financial Reporting Council) and employers.

Decision-Making and Complexity

  • The post holder will be required to support decision-making during live examinations, referring to rules and regulations and seeking guidance as required from the Assessment Delivery Senior Executive.
  • The post holder will monitor the allocation of marking teams and raise awareness of any subsequent dropouts to ensure that the IFoA can meet the required timeframes. They will make recommendations for changes to these processes, and where training for education supporters may be required and suggest new ways of working to meet the changing needs of the assessment delivery process.
  • The post holder will accurately enter complex data into the IFoA database and assessment questions on the appropriate platforms and handle data within GDPR guidelines, understanding when and where this data can be shared. They will also collate large data sets to ensure the delivery of results and supporting management information within agreed deadlines.
  • The postholder must be able to manage their workload independently within general guidelines, using judgement to resolve queries and escalate issues which require further attention.
