About The Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Construction team as an Assessor in Electrical Installation. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing curriculum area with a strong track record of learner success and achievement. The role will be primarily based at our STEM Campus; however, this is a multi-site position and travel between locations will be required.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting and assessing apprentices to help them achieve their competency-based qualifications within the Apprenticeship Standard
  • Identifying any skills gaps and setting targeted action plans to support learner development
  • Working closely with the curriculum delivery team to monitor apprentice performance and progress in line with Work Based Learning Quality Procedures
  • Liaising with employers to ensure they fully understand the requirements of apprenticeship programmes
  • Carrying out workplace assessments of practical skills and providing clear, constructive feedback
  • Actively working with the Business Development Unit to promote Apprenticeship programmes to employers

About You

  • You are a skilled Electrical Installation professional with strong industry experience
  • You have high personal standards and a genuine commitment to quality and learner success
  • You are passionate about developing others and sharing your knowledge
  • You are organised, self-motivated, and able to manage your own workload effectively

The successful candidate will

  • Be qualified to Level 3 (NVQ) in Electrical Installation
  • Hold PTLLS/A1/Assessors award or willingness to achieve within a set period following appointment
  • Have relevant recent experience of working within the construction industry
  • Have completed a time served apprenticeship
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of NVQ’s in a construction discipline
  • Have the use of a car and a valid UK driving license
