Help Keep Our Manufacturing Site Running at Its Best
Role Overview
As an Asset Care Engineer, you'll play a key role in maintaining the site infrastructure that supports our food manufacturing operations. Working closely with the Engineering team, you'll help ensure our facilities remain safe, reliable and fully operational, carrying out planned maintenance, repairs and improvement activities across the site.
This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys practical problem-solving and takes pride in maintaining high standards. From building repairs and site services maintenance to supporting engineering and operational teams, you'll have a direct impact on the smooth running of the facility.
Working a rotating shift pattern, you'll contribute to creating a safe, compliant and well-maintained environment that enables production teams to perform at their best.
Rotating Shift Pattern
- Week 1: Monday to Friday 0600-1400
- Week 2: Monday to Friday 1400-2200
Key Duties
You will:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance activities across site facilities and infrastructure.
- Complete a variety of maintenance tasks, including joinery, plumbing, fabrication, decorating and general building repairs.
- Inspect site infrastructure and identify opportunities for preventative maintenance and improvement.
- Maintain factory lighting and other essential site services.
- Respond to maintenance issues promptly, helping to minimise disruption to operations.
- Ensure work is completed safely and in line with company procedures and best practice.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation within work areas.
- Communicate progress and maintenance requirements clearly to engineering and site management teams.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance site reliability and efficiency.
- Contribute to a positive team culture by assisting with training and sharing knowledge where appropriate.

Ideal Candidate
We're looking for a practical and reliable maintenance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
You will have:
- Experience carrying out joinery, building maintenance or general facilities maintenance activities.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, FMCG or industrial environment.
- Good practical skills across a variety of maintenance disciplines.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- The ability to manage tasks effectively and see work through to completion.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A strong awareness of Health & Safety requirements and safe working practices.
- Basic IT skills and confidence using computer systems where required.
- A flexible approach and willingness to support a range of maintenance activities across the site.
