Madison Hunt is partnered with a leading infrastructure investment manager to appoint an Asset Management professional to its growing team in London.
The firm invests in essential infrastructure businesses across a range of sectors, taking an active, hands-on approach to portfolio management and long-term value creation. As investors increasingly look beyond financial engineering to drive returns, the team works closely with portfolio company management to identify operational improvements, optimise asset performance, and deliver strategic growth initiatives.
This is an opportunity to join a highly engaged investment platform, working at the intersection of financial analysis, operational performance and investment strategy.
The Role
The successful candidate will play an integral role in the active management of a portfolio of infrastructure investments, partnering with investment colleagues and portfolio company management teams to drive performance and maximise long-term value.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Active Value Creation: Working alongside portfolio company management to identify and implement initiatives that enhance operational performance, improve profitability and drive sustainable growth
- Financial Modelling & Valuation: Developing and maintaining detailed financial models and DCF valuations to assess portfolio performance, inform strategic decisions and evaluate value creation opportunities
- Performance Monitoring: Analysing financial and operational KPIs, challenging business plans and forecasts, and identifying opportunities to improve asset-level performance
- Strategic & Commercial Analysis: Evaluating business plans, growth initiatives, capital expenditure, refinancing opportunities and other strategic decisions, translating operational developments into financial outcomes
- Portfolio Company Engagement: Building trusted relationships with management teams, providing analytical support and contributing to key commercial and operational decisions
- Investment & Transaction Support: Supporting bolt-on acquisitions, new investment opportunities and other portfolio initiatives through financial analysis, modelling and valuation

The Candidate

The firm is seeking an analytically strong and commercially minded professional with a genuine interest in infrastructure and hands-on asset management.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Experience in infrastructure or energy asset management, valuations, transaction advisory, corporate finance or a related investment role
- Strong financial modelling capabilities, including DCF valuation and the ability to understand and challenge the assumptions underpinning asset performance
- An appreciation of the operational and commercial drivers of infrastructure businesses, with the ability to translate these into financial outcomes
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders and portfolio company management teams
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, with the intellectual curiosity to understand businesses in depth and identify opportunities for value creation
- Fluency in at least one other European language alongside English
