ISS is looking to recruit two Asset Management Systems & Assurance Managers to join our growing Asset Management team supporting one of the UK's largest and most high-profile public sector contracts.
This is a specialist role focused on ISO 55001 compliance, governance, and assurance. You'll play a key role in ensuring our Asset Management System (AMS) remains effective, compliant, and continuously improving, helping the business maximize value from its asset investments while maintaining the highest standards of governance and assurance.
If you're an Asset Management professional with strong ISO 55001 expertise and a passion for driving best practice, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
You will work closely with operational, technical, commercial, and leadership teams, ensuring the Asset Management Framework is fully embedded, compliant, and delivering value across a large and complex estate.
This role is focused on framework compliance, assurance, and governance rather than the management of physical assets themselves.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Asset Management System (AMS) in line with ISO 55001 and industry best practice.
- Maintain asset management governance frameworks, policies, procedures, and controls.
- Plan and deliver assurance programmes to assess compliance and effectiveness.
- Lead internal audits, external audits, maturity assessments, and management reviews.
- Monitor compliance with asset management standards and identify risks and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and manage corrective and preventative action plans.
- Provide independent assurance on asset data, lifecycle planning, and investment decision-making processes.
- Produce executive reports, dashboards, and management information to support strategic decision-making.
- Support the ongoing maintenance of ISO 55001 certification and audit readiness.
- Conduct asset management maturity assessments and develop improvement roadmaps.
- Deliver guidance, training, and support to operational teams.
- Act as the organisation's subject matter expert for ISO 55001 compliance and asset management assurance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
