Asset Management Expert (M/W) for Major International O&M Tender

FIT in NETWORK® has been mandated, on an exclusive basis, to identify an experienced Asset Management Expert (M/W) to actively contribute to the ongoing preparation of a major international O&M tender.

This assignment requires a strong technical professional able to assess existing infrastructure, define appropriate maintenance and renewal strategies, and translate assets-related risks into realistic technical and financial assumptions for the tender.

The role is focused exclusively on the tender phase, combining asset management expertise, lifecycle planning, technical due diligence, and costing support.

To qualify for this opportunity, your profile should combine 3 key assets:

  • Strong experience in asset management, maintenance engineering, and infrastructure renewal cycles
  • Solid knowledge of utility services, such as water, wastewater, environmental-related assets in O&M environments
  • Ability to transform technical asset information into maintenance plans, renewal priorities, risk assessments, and cost assumptions

The Environment for this Assignment

  • Client and detailed project information will be shared under NDA to shortlisted candidates.
  • Large-scale utility infrastructure tender, within a PPP model, covering complex operating assets and long-term maintenance requirements.
  • Project includes production and treatment facilities, pumping and network infrastructure management, associated mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil works assets.

Asset Management Expert (M/W)

Working within the tender teams, you will be responsible for establishing the asset management strategy.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Define the overall maintenance and asset renewal strategy
  • Review available asset information, identify critical data gaps, risks, and assumptions
  • Establish asset criticality and replacement priorities based on condition, reliability, and operational impact
  • Prepare maintenance and renewal cost assumptions for tender integration
  • Assess maintenance resources, spare parts, subcontracting, and intervention requirements
  • Contribute to site inspections, technical due diligence, tender clarification processes
  • Coordinate asset-related inputs with Engineering, Operations, Procurement, and Finance

The scope includes major environmental-related assets such as: potable water production, wastewater treatment facilities, pumping systems, reverse osmosis installations, distribution networks, and metering assets.

Assignment Conditions

  • Location: Europe, Paris area, and regular site visits in the Middle East
  • Starting date: Immediate, as soon as the client finalizes its selection process
  • Duration: Initially 4 months, extending to 6 months or more upon tender phasing
  • Operating mode: Full-time assignment

Your Key Skills & Profile

Hard Skills

  • Must have a strong Engineering degree & technical qualification
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in asset management
  • Strong knowledge in Public Private Partnerships: utilities, water, wastewater, O&M phase
  • Experience with maintenance strategies, lifecycle planning, budget assumptions
  • Tender technical experience is a strong advantage
  • Fluent professional English, other European or Middle East language is a plus
